The tiny residents of the garden…
Mornin’ earthly gardeners!
This morning I’m musing on the small residents of the garden…the spiders, the arthropods, the ants, the crickets, the grubs, the worms…it goes on and on.
I recently caught this little fellow on one of my antique roses. His body was almost transparent, and he was very hard to photograph. I can’t even remember what type of spider this is, but it’s a common one. One thing I do remember is that they seem to live their entire lives on one flower or plant. Think about that.
Next time you’re out in your garden, or tending your container plants, look for the tiny residents there. And please, don’t do anything to harm them (unless they are really bad bugs, of course…LOL).
Until tomorrow, dig it!

We’re having beautiful weather lately and I’ve been able to play in my garden a lot. Today we were entertained by several yellow butterflies fluttering all over. I love watching the tiny visitors to my garden.

Hi Summer! Yes, butterflies! We’ve had a lot of the gorgeous yellow swallowtails here lately, too. They love the wildflowers–especially the purple prairie verbena. Too bad they’re faster than I am, or I’d “capture” them with my camera!
