Plant some Woody Vegetation on unused Land
If you are one of the lucky ones to own a large plot of land that either has grass growing or maybe even some trees, why not consider creating a woody vegetation lot for wildlife to create a habitat out of.
Woody vegetation consists mainly of bushes and shrubs or even short and tall trees. You can use the grass on the land that is already, more than likely, there and just add to the lands natural slopes and terrain to create a habitat with birds, insects and other wildlife can coexist. You can also plant woody vegetation to protect buildings and other structures on the land as well. Trees and large bushes help protect land from erosion as well, so keep this in mind if there is a water supply on the land already. Some common woody vegetation to consider would be: 1. Cranberry These selections will not only provide shelter for your wildlife, it can also provide food for them as well. These woody vegetation choices will up your properties value as well if you ever do decide to sell.
